TUF 11 – Did Spike TV Give Away Who The 14 Housemates Are With This Photo

Spike released a press photo of Stephan Bonnar’s upcoming show The Ultimate Fighter: Aftermath. In the photo it showed the two coaches (Chuck vs Tito) and only 14 fighters instead of the full 28 middleweights.

Bonnar will offer his analysis of “Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz,” as 28 middleweights vie for a six-figure contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Spike later pulled the photo.

Scott Coker talks Jose Canseco

Strikeforce President Scott Coker was a recent guest on MMAJunkie Radio and gave his thoughts on Jose Canseco competing in Strikeforce. His response is interesting, waiting to hear what Cesar Gracie tells him about Canseco:

“I can tell you this: If Cesar Gracie says to me, ‘Jose’s training with me, I’m going to get him ready, and I’m going to do it in four or five months,’ and Cesar’s telling me this? That will have a lot of weight on what we decide,” Coker recently told MMAjunkie.com.

“Scott said if Jose wants to train, he’ll put him in a Challenger series (event) if it’s not the Herschel Walker fight,” Gracie said. “There are a couple of other organizations that are interested in Jose that I’m meeting with next week.” said Cesar Gracie.

Lyoto Machida Camp Talks Rematch With Shogun At UFC 113

Chinzo Machida, brother and training partner of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida talks to Tatame.com about his brothers training for his rematch with Shogun at UFC 113 in Montreal in May, as well as his thoughts and the Machida camp thoughts on the last fight:

What do you expect from this rematch?

We can’t predict the fight itself, but Lyoto is more prepared than the other time, more focused on the fight, stronger. We changed the concentration on training, we don’t let a lot of people around him in training anymore, thing that had no reason to happen. We separated his training, making him more focused.

How do you think it’s gonna be this fight?

I believe in a knockout by Lyoto, that’s why we’re looking at.

How is his training?

He’s training well, doing the karate, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, a little bit of everything, besides muay thai, physical preparation… We already started the training in January, his hand is 100% now.

What did you think about the first fight?

I thought Lyoto won it, looked for the fight all the time, besides his characteristic is to counter attack. Shogun didn’t expose himself, he’s kicking Lyoto, but with few moments of definition. This rematch can start the same way, but I’m sure it’ll go a different way. Lyoto wasn’t very satisfied with the critics and Shogun wasn’t happy with the result either. It can put both to define the fight, but we’ll only know it at the fight time. Nobody wants to let it go to decision again.
